Infinity - Ariadna: Kazak Scout

OK, so they are technically called "Ariadna Scouts." But they're TOTALLY Kazaks. Last one of the trio.

Infinity - Ariadna: Colonel Yevgueni Voronin, Cossack Diplomatic Corps

Colonel Veronin and his pet Antipode, leading the Kazaks toward victory.

Tan elements of the Warsenal Comanche Bases were painted with VMC 133 Cork Brown, 123 Dark Sand, 005 Ivory; shaded then with 143 Flat Earth.

Infinity - Ariadna: Kazak Scout

The second of three identical Scout models that go get work done for me in Infinity Tournament System missions.

The Brown used on pouches/holsters/backpacks - but mostly on the Comanche Bases from Warsenal - is painted with VMC 150 German Camo Black Brown <> P3 Bootstrap Leather, edge highlighted with VMC 103 German WWII Beige Camo and lined with a mix of the Black Brown and Black.

Infinity - Ariadna: Kazak Spetsnaz with HMG

The Kazak Spetsnaz is fun. When deployed, you place not one but TWO Camo Markers, and can often bait your opponent into wasting orders discovering the "Fake" camo marker by placing it in an aggressive, offensive position while keeping the actual Spetsnaz's marker safe from harm until it is time for him to make his attack run.

Black is the second main color of my Ariadna army. It follows my usual recipe: Black, VMC 168 Black Grey, 166 Dark Grey, 160 Neutral Grey, 155 Light Grey.

To take the balck recipe up to silver, the highlights cover more surface area, and they go all the way up to pure white.

Infinity - Ariadna: Kazak Scout with Ojotnik

The Russian infiltrating camo specialists of Ariadna, the Scouts are a versatile toolbox of equipment very useful for Infinity the Game missions. The Ojotnik is like a shorter-ranged Sniper Rifle.

Green is one of the main colors of my Ariadna forces. It begins with VMC 090 Reflective Green, adding in 079 Golden Olive for highlights, and then adding 020 Sunny Skintone for further highlights. Shadows and lining are done with 100 Black Green.

Infinity - USAriadna: Roger Van Zant

Van Zant. Inspired by Matthew McConaughey's character from "Reign of Fire." This bad dude can parachute into your opponent's deployment zone table edge and start murdering dudes from behind.

This model is a limited edition Con Exclusive from GenCon last week. A version with pistol and axe arms (same body) will be available later in the year.

He is mounted on one of Warsenal's new Comanche bases.

The flesh on all of the USAriadna models was painted with VMC Cork Brown 133 <> Basic Skintone 017 <> Light Flesh 006, then glazed carefully here and there with Orange Brown 131 and Cavalry Brown 137 to add tones. Lining and final shadows were applied with Chocolate Brown 149.

Infinity - USAriadna: 5th Minutemen, "Ohio"

The 5th Minutemen, "Ohio" are another possible fireteam for your USAriadna army. Burst 3 flamethrowers on the Active Turn, anyone?

A family photo of the USAriadna starter pack that is included in the Army Pack:

The white markings - stars, rank insignia, etc - were painted using VGC Stonewall Grey and White. I would line the edges with Military Green 089 to tighten up the designs and set them off from the armor.

Infinity - USAriadna: Maverick

There is a brand new Infinity sectorial army coming out right now, and it is the USAriadna Ranger Force sectorial of Ariadna! These models are available for pre-order now, and will be available at GenCon today!

Ariadna gets bikes! The first bikes for Ariadna come in the form of this awesome USARF Maverick. You can take up to 5 in the Sectorial, and they can be Specialists (Forward Observer), run around with Rocket Launchers, or wield a Boarding Shotgun like this little lady. This particular Maverick can only be had as part of the USAriadna Army Pack.

The rocks on the bases were first painted the same as the ground, and then glazed with P3 Cryx Bane Base and Black, leaving some of the reddish-tan showing through in places. Then they were highlighted with Cryx Bane Highlight <> VMC Ivory 005. The grass tufts are by Army Painter.
