Yu Jing - Zuyong with HMG

The Zuyong - The Terracotta Soldiers - are the new basic troop for the upcoming Yu Jing heavy infantry sectorial, the "Invincible Army." They feature the newly sculpted base platform for all Yu Jing heavy infantry.

The first release features the HMG trooper. Can't wait to see the rest.

And, finally, the Family Portait of the entire Yu Jing Heavy Infantry-themed Army:

And, a very nice review of my service was left by the client on the Data Sphere Forums:

Tom Schadle Miniatures is the fourth painting service I have used in the last 5 years. It has been, by far, the best experience I have had with a miniature painting service. At the time that Tom announced his Complete Infinity Army package through his podcast: Mayacast ( http://www.mayacast.com), I was already six months involved with REDACTED to have a 300 point Combined Army painted. I made contact with Tom on September 26th to paint a Yu Jing Heavy Infantry 300 point list and 4 weeks later, I had 9 beautiful Yu Jing minis on my shelf, and still no Combined Army.
Everything about my experience with TSM was excellent, from communication to follow-up. The models are absolutely gorgeous! If you follow Mayacast you have probably seen them on Facebook. There are some images on TSM's blog http://www.tomschadleminiatures.blogspot.com/, but just a few.
Tom helped me make a list based on what I wanted, helped me solidify the paint scheme, assisted in finding bases, sent pictures of all boxes and blisters when they arrived, let me know when the minis were built, sent images of the finished minis for review, packaged the minis for shipment about the best I've had and followed up to make sure I was happy.
Tom uses airbrush and hand brush techniques. Everything is immaculate. The blends, depths, contrasts and highlighting give the minis such a realistic 3D look that it looks like they might take off on their own. ;)
I highly recommend Tom Schadle Miniatures to anyone interested in showcase miniatures at a price equivalent to other services less impressive ones.

Honestly - Super proud of those very kind words.

Yu Jing - Yaoxie Lu Duan

Remotes!

Remotes are some of the coolest models in the infinity range, and the Yu Jing Yaoxie are no exception. This bad boy packs a Mk 12 and a Heavy Flamethrower, and is protected by a Holoprojector level 2! Cool stuff.

The metal parts are painted just like the black (see the Keisotsu post), but then tinted with P3 Cygnar Blue Base. Also, the highlights go all the way up to pure white.

Yu Jing - Sun Tze

This model was the first look we got at the new design of the Yu Jing heavy armor design.

Sun Tze is a great LT option for Yu Jing - survivable with the heavy armor, and Strategos Level 3 can't be beat (you get to keep TWO models in reserve, and your opponent cannot keep ANY models in reserve!).

Yu Jing - Gui Feng Spec Ops

The Spec Ops models are awesome. They can be fielded as a variety of troop types, and generally have more character and flair than the generic troops. They can also actually BE Spec Ops models for campaign play or Spec Ops tournaments.

They come with a sprue of various weapons, and two head options. I used the helmeted option here to fit in better with all the heavy infantry.

Even better than the basic Spec Ops (for variety and flair) are the various "Dire Foes" packs, that have two character Spec Ops plus a characterful civilian per pack (along with art cards and scenarios). With the Infinity RPG on the near horizon, I imagine a lot of Dire Foes will see action as player character models as well.

Yu Jing - Shang Ji Invincible

The Shang Ji is an older Infinity model, but I still like it. Undoubtedly, it will receive a re-sculpt based on the newer Yu Jing heavy infantry base structure, as seen on Sun Tze and the Terracotta Soldiers.

In the army list, it will be fielded as having a Spitfire, but only this Combi Rifle version is available so far.

The Warsneal Tunguskan Bases begin with VMC 069 Turquoise, highlighted with VGC Glacier Blue, VGC Wolf Grey, and white. Lining is then touched up with Turquoise.

Yu Jing - Celestial Guard Hacker

The Celestial Guard Hacker is not heavy infantry (the theme of this army), but does a good job defending them and of securing objectives. And with Infinity Third Edition now arriving, becomes even more useful with all those cool new Hacking Programs!

I painted the screens and any "glowy bits" in the army by basing with VMC Emerald <> 011 Lemon Yellow <> 013 Ice Yellow. Sometimes I would need to go back to the Emerald to add shading back in.

Yu Jing - Hac Tao HMG

First let me apologize for not updating in so long; Last time we were all here, I said I was going to update over several days with all of the Yu Jing models I had painted for a 300-pt army. Then... I did not.

Apparently, this was a mental hiccup, as I posted all the images to the MayaCast Facebook page, and apparently assumed that I had finished up here as well...

As the scholar once said: "Whoops."

So, here we are, back on track! Up first, the Hac Tao HMG. Need to get him up before the brand new sculpt is revealed in the next few weeks...

Instead of the traditional black, the Hac Tao follows the scheme of the army - Very Imperial Service inspired with black undersuits, orange armor and white chest and face plates.

The orange of the armor that is repeated throughout the army is VMC 131 Orange Brown <> VGC Scrofulous Brown <> White; then shaded with 137 Cavalry Brown, and then with 146 Hull Red (also used for dark-lining).
